Book Club Meeting CHANGE OF TIME..

Due to majority of our members being unable to make the 2pm meeting scheduled I will change the meeting to 4pm on the same date; Tuesday 1^st April. The meeting will be held at the UCY Preston Road. For those who are not students/staff please report to reception and I will come and collect you.

We will be discussing Atonement, please bring back your books and Nooks and let me know if you would like updated Nooks so I can bring them to the meeting.

Has everybody managed to get hold of a copy of Atonement on DVD? If not I have a copy if anyone wishes to borrow it.

Sorry for the changes! In future I will be sticking to the 4pm time slot to save confusion and people trying to rejuggle!

'The Husbands Secret' Book Club Review

The general consensus as a book club was the book was easy to read due to the author’s easy style of writing. Deep moral life issues are addressed in the book. There are too many important issues in the story plot to give gravitas to life changing events and actions and the moral issues of: Forgiveness; Guilt; Parenting; Marriage; Infidelity; Secrecy; and ‘what if’ scenarios. Comments from the group I enjoyed reading “The Husband’s Secret” and the author hooked me into the story very quickly.
